STATUS:
The dates for the Ranch at Cypress Creek MUD’s (including both Deer Creek and Ranch at Cypress Creek HOAs) residential brush pickups are confirmed.
WHEN:
2/20/23 and 2/27/23
The first brush pickup by BrightView will begin on 2/20/23. The crew will begin in MUD Section One and proceed through each section as quickly as possible, ideally completing the first residential pickup by 2/23/23.
A second residential pickup will be conducted 2/27/23 – 3/2/23 for those who have additional brush that are not able to get it to the curb, have the curb obstructed, or who are missed during the first pass.
PROCESS:
REQUIRED:
Clear obstructions to your curb.
We are asking you to facilitate access for the pickup crew by clearing the street in front of and around the brush piles of any cars, garbage cans, or other obstructions because the crew will need to get a large claw truck close to your curb in order to pick up your brush. Placing your brush in the street instead of on the curb will potentially obstruct the claw truck.
Place your brush on the curb by 2/20/23 or 2/27/23 in order for the crew to pick it up. They will NOT go into yards, driveways, behind houses, or other locations to retrieve brush.
NOT REQUIRED:
Cut down limbs or branches into smaller piles;
Bundle your brush;
Limit or cut down the size or amount of the branches or limbs.
ALTERNATIVES:
If you do not want to participate in the MUD-sponsored pickup, you can make your own arrangements for brush removal at your cost. Homeowners in the area can take brush to the Williamson County Landfill, 600 Landfill Road in Hutto, Texas. Waste Management is charging only $10 plus tax per pickup truckload of limbs and clean brush now through Feb. 19. In addition, Williamson County is waiving its 6.5% fee for these pickup truckloads. This payment scale is for non-commercial vehicles and excludes trailers. The normal charge for clean brush/wood is $8.64 per cubic yard. Trash/debris is $46.90 per ton. For directions and hours of operation, visit Contact Us | Waste Management | Waste Management (wm.com)
MUD residents can also put out up to five additional bags or bundles of refuse for Clawson (our disposal service) to pick up during their regular service run. See our Trash and Recycling info for details: https://www.ranchatcc.org/trash-recycling/
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- MUD common areas will be cleared separately from the residences. No date has been set for common area clearing or vegetation replacement efforts.
- The MUD will not cite residents for violations of winter weather debris before the pickup.
